Selection and preparation
Identify the gas path and substrate. Remove loose material and contaminants. Confirm joint movement, putty thickness, drying and controlled heat-up requirements with the current manufacturer instructions.
Service limits
Select for gas-side and refractory work. Do not treat the heat-resistance statement as a water/steam pressure rating. Request current technical documentation and pack details before specifying.
